Salomé, Tragedy of the Femme Fatale

Maryam S Holleman

Taking a cue from Oscar Wilde’s play, this one-woman piece, written and performed by newcomer Maryam S Holleman, explores the complex untold and ruinous motivations of the tantalising dancer who requested the head of John the Baptist. A feminine enigma whose sexuality and cold brutality history has exploited, she has never truly been heard. You’re invited to meet the original vamp on her quest for the ultimate triumph.
