Champions of the filmmaking talent the mainstream ignores, Nightpiece is a portal to the reality of independent filmmaking. In 2025, Nightpiece Film Festival, with no funding or external sponsorship in sight, enters its 12th season. We've screened over 370 short films from the UK and rest of the world since 2014 and usually we're premiering a feature or two on launch. We schedule thematically with five nights of curated programming sourced from submissions entered via FilmFreeway. Hosted by prolific film director Al Carretta – come and support the Fringe's premier independent short film festival.
